NOC Manager

Role:Defines and documents infrastructure operating processes, procedures and gives appropriate training.Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to team. Creates and tracks key performance indicators with the goal of continuous improvement. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Assists in the creation of the operational budget, tracks performance to actuals and takes corrective action if appropriate.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as required.7 x 24 availability. Ability to travel globally.

 

Required Skills:

 Must have previous 7 X 24 NOC Management experience.Understanding of change management methodologies.Ability to prepare detailed department reports and metrics for senior management. Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, specifically the SMS messaging side of networks.Ability to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Understanding of MTP, TCP/IP, networking, client/ server applicationsKnowledge of protocols SMTP, HTTP, SSH, SNMPUnderstanding of XML, Perl and Shell Scripting
