OPERATIONS/ACCOUNT MANAGER

VASCOR, Ltd., a leading tier one supplier to the automotive industry, has an immediate need for an OPERATIONS/ACCOUNT MANAGER.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The VASCOR Operations/Account Manager - Hyundai/Kia/Glovis is responsible for all VASCOR - HYUNDIA/KIA/GLOVIS business.  This position has responsibility for developing relationships, gaining additional business and managing operations in the field.  His/Her primary goals are exceeding customer expectations, continuous improvement of operations, increasing business, and ensuring budgetary objectives are met.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.  Meet or exceed customer service expectations by

 1.1  Ensure current operations meet or exceed customer designated metrics.

1.1.1  Accurate data collection

1.1.2  Timely transfer of data

1.1.3  Accurate inventory of units on hand

1.1.4  Damage free handling of vehicles to minimize claims

1.1.5  Training of all VASCOR and temporary personnel

 

2.  Continuously improve processes and operations

 2.1 Ensure standardization of processes

 2.2 Implement a continuous process improvement team

 2.3 Set goals for process review and continuous improvement

 2.4 Implement metrics, create a "dashboard" and measure performance

 2.5 Develop plans and processes to meet new and changing customer needs

 2.6 Maintain ISO 9000 compliance

 

3.  Meet or exceed budgeted revenue and income goals

 3.1 With the VP FVS Operations, develop annual budgets

 3.2 Monitor financial performance and productivity

 3.3 Make adjustments in operations as required to meet income expectations

 

4.  Develop new business opportunities

 4.1 Develop customer relationships and expand those relationships into related departments

 4.2 Determine emerging customer requirements, design and implement processes to meet those requirements

 4.3 Increase market share

 4.4 Ensure customers are aware of VASCOR services and capabilities

 4.5 Monitor emerging customer requirements and develop services to meet them

 4.6 Expand current business

 

Essential skills and Experience:

 

Education: College degree or at least 10 years equivalent management experience in a customer focused, labor intensive industry.  Experience in automotive logistics is preferred.

 

Training:  Process improvement, total quality management, Microsoft office products. 

 

Skills:  Ability to read and understand financial statements.  Ability to employ process improvement techniques.  Writes and speaks well.  Must be able to develop spreadsheets when preparing bids or business evaluations.

 

Experience:  Experienced leading geographically dispersed locations.  Has successfully led process improvement teams or efforts.
