ORDER PROCESSING MANAGER

 

This position is accountable for the daily operations of the Order Processing department.  Currently this area consists of approx. 50 individuals, which includes a direct report staff of up to 3 individuals.

The Order Processing Department is responsible for all order receipt, entry, order detail clarification, as well as the setup of custom decorating information for other areas of the company. 

Number of Positions = 2 Shifts: 9:00am-5:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm

 



 DUTIES:Management of the area to produce a balance between driving quality, achieving performance goals, identifying ongoing efficiency opportunities, and supporting a positive and interactive work environment.Everyday coaching and development of direct supervisor staff to achieve leadership performance expectations. Drive and support employee engagement activities to consistently offer feedback and recognition of entire staff.Ensure communication to direct reports as well as entire staff is consistent and often.  Visibility to entire team on an ongoing basis is key.Work cross functionally with other areas of the company and build strong working relationships.  Promote and support teamwork to achieve common goals.Manage department costs while consistently looking for opportunities to increase efficiencies.  Continually be looking at department workflow and processes to improve both the internal and external customer experience.Accountability for ensuring the day-to-day operations are meeting expectations.  Responding to challenges when they occur to ensure impact to other operating areas and/or the customer is minimal and resolved quickly. Ongoing proactive assessment is also needed to address challenges before they occur.

 

QUALIFICATIONS



? Strong Computer Skills - must have high proficiency with Microsoft Office. 

? Demonstrated process improvement skills and a successful track record with achieving efficiencies through process restructures and/or introduction of technology is a must.

? Proven ability to manage change in a high growth environment.  Much have successes in leading large groups through unforeseen challenges.

? Superior people management and leadership skills are a must.  Experience must include management of approx. 50+ staff and have experiences and successes driving performance through others.

? Customer service experience preferred.  Must be able to provide customer service and communicate directly with customers to resolve a wide range of challenges.

? Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high pace environment.

? Strong communication skills both verbal and written. 

? Strong organizational skills.

? Strong attention to detail and follow up.

?  Must be able to work well independently or with others.

 

 EDUCATION

? 4 yr Degree in Business Management or related field AND 5 plus years working in a similar position.
