Operations Manager (Medical Device Company)

Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (KCI) is a global corporation that develops and markets a broad range of innovative healing systems. KCI delivers clinical excellence to improve patients' lives while decreasing the total cost of care. KCI's customers are acute care hospitals, extended care facilities, home health providers and managed care organizations. Their products deliver pressure relief, pulmonary care, bariatric care, circulatory improvement and chronic wound closure to patients in all-care setting.

 

We currently have an opening for an Operation Manager.  The leader will be responsible for management of operations for assigned territory and for driving excellence in customer service.  The Operations Manager will lead our operations team in service and delivery of our proprietary medical products.

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversees all daily operations of the operations team to support sales activities.
Acts as primary contact for operations issues in high profile accounts.  Manages customer relationships.
Provide periodic business reviews to the District Operations Manager and Regional Operations Director
Ensures proper staffing to support work schedules at all assigned locations.
Maintains budget and approves expenses.  Monitors profit and loss statements of service center operations by reviewing and analyzing operations and related accounting data and institute necessary management initiatives to ensure productivity and cost controls
Ensures that all assigned locations have up to date and documented protocols for all assigned customer accounts, and are adhering to all hospital protocols regarding the delivery, operations, pick up, and safety checks of all KCI USA products
Manages service center fleet vehicle programs to ensure cost effective utilization of vehicles, sound vehicle safety practices, while maintaining adherence to corporate policies and procedures
In accordance with FDA regulations, monitors equipment performance in the service center to identify issues and recommend processes to improve reliability and/or serviceability of our products
Responsible for managing safety programs to ensure worker?s safety and awareness. 
Manages adherence to all KCI USA policies and procedures

 

Basic Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree required

? Five years experience in distribution, operations or a related field.

? Five years supervisory experience.

? Experience with multi-location management is a plus

? Excellent computer skills, (Windows OS, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK) and ability to learn proprietary software systems.

? Excellent organizational skills required. 

? Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written format

? Ability to manage customer expectations, lead direct reports and be flexible with both while meeting objectives. 

? The candidate must express enthusiasm for training employees and involvement in their career development.
Some travel and flexible working hours required, including nights and weekends. 
Must pass DOT physical and eye exam initially and every 2 years or as required by state
