Production Supervisor - Experience =$$$

Rapidly growing manufacturing company has an immediate need for experienced Production Supervisors.  Nice career track leading to Plant Manager or other defined management positions.  Company likes to create a future and succession plan for its employees.  Related Bachelors degree helpful.

 

Selected candidates will get involved in:

 

- Daily leadership of floor employees including goal setting, scheduling, problem solving, safety, quality, and ensuring on-time shipments.  Supervise 25-50 employees, first shift.

 

- Ability to set department and company goals that meet or exceed customer expectations.  Create an environment where employees are motivated, bring up new ideas and can act on them. Develop a team environment.

 

- Supervisors will interact with all levels from Plant Manager, Engineering, Sales, Quality, and Materials Management departments.

 

- Create a sense of pride in quality of product being made. Experience in a metals environment, such as fabrication, machining, or assembly helpful.

 

- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced plant environment.  Company is actively involved in cellular manufacturing, lean initiatives, 5S, kaizen events, etc.  These skills are not mandatory, but helpful.

 

- Ability to work in a clean, organized environment with up-to-date equipment.  Ability to work with minimal supervision.
