Program Manager (PMO) - Transformation and Strategy

The Program Manager (PMO) - Transformation & Strategy will be the primary interface to projects within T&S program, driving use and understanding of the project standards, processes, tools and methodology.

This position is graded as an exempt level 10/11. The selected candidate will be placed in the position at the job level that is commensurate with prior experience and technical competency.

Key Accountabilities:

Mentor projects throughout the project lifecycle and provide project management leadership by:
- Providing leadership in the project approval and initiation phase to help projects structure for success, including establishment of a clear governance model and tailoring best practices methodology to meet project specific needs with predefined deliverables

- Support projects through execution, facilitating the stage gate process; using strong interpersonal and communication skills to overcome any resistance to use of methodologies; advising project teams on how to perform tasks and create deliverables, with hands-on support as needed; supporting issue resolution and decision-making, as needed; and identifying and supporting integration points with other projects

- Providing leadership for project closure and incorporating lessons learned into the project processes, best practices, methodology and tools
Deploy project standards, processes, tools & methodology (e.g. stage gates, governance, period reports) within the T&S program

- Maintain integrated work-plan incorporating major milestones, deliverables and dependencies of all projects within the T&S program

- Provide independent assessments of projects to support program management. This would include:
-Supporting risk assessments
-Supporting quality and control reviews
-Acting as a liaison with the Corporate Risk and Controls group
-Partner with T&S finance analysts/managers to take preventive measures by proactively identifying when projects may be venturing into problems and escalate red flags by providing analysis, alternatives, and a recommendation for corrective action

-Drive T&S program reporting and analysis on a recurring (every period) and an ad hoc basis by partnering with T&S finance analysts/managers and being well informed on projects within T&S program

- Collect, analyze, assemble and report project metrics. Serve as a conduit to the project teams in order for them to work efficiently. Work closely to track and improve management reporting and status reporting activities

- Train project managers and project teams, especially with the first year of implementation of project standards, processes, tools, and methodology

- Provide structure and guidance as new business needs emerge to support project feasibility, prioritization and approval, and initiation

- Participate in various project management focus groups and forums, possibly including PMI best practices

- Bachelor's Degree
- Project management experience and/or PMP certification
- 5+ years of experience leading and executing projects
- 2+ years of experience leading a program of projects
