Job Description: 

We are now accepting applications for a Project Engineer/ Project Manager to administrate, manage and coordinate highway construction projects from start to finish in the Los Angeles Area

 

Job Duties:

? Administrate contracts and change orders for Public Works Projects

? Manage project safety and enforce company policy

? Monitor project budget, scope, schedule and quality control

? Draft subcontracts, purchase order agreements, and coordinate with other members of the project team

? Provide/oversee contract administration tasks (project records, pay requests, labor compliance)

? Review proposal drawings and specifications

? Attend meetings and represent the Company in a variety of functions and settings

? Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to job site

? Assist with coordination of field operations

? Provide consistent feedback and reports to Executives/Project Managers

? Develop long-term relationships with clients, vendors and employees, ensuring continued success and stability

? Additional duties as determined by Executives/Project Managers

 



Job Requirements:

? Basic knowledge of construction scheduling (Critical Path Method) and construction law

? Self Motivated

? Transportation, electrical, communications or other contracting/educational experience

? Familiarity with principals of cost estimating (computer based)

? Human relations

? Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Primavera SureTrak/P3; Cost estimation programs  

? Organizational ability

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Ability to work independently and stay focused  Preferred Extras

? Bachelor?s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil or Electrical)

? Previous experience in project management, estimating or administration
