Job Description

GMAC Insurance has an opening for a Sales Supervisor in our Maryland Heights call center. 

 

This position requires someone highly motivated and driven to succeed. This position requires direct supervision, coaching and development of approximately 18 call center employees. Will also be responsible for the achievement of call center goals including Inbound Sales, Outbound Initiatives, process evaluations and recommendations for improvements. Supervisors are also required to manage "team" goals related to their sales objectives. Will manage the customer relationship including management of service level goals. Conducts interviews, selects and trains personnel. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the teams work activities. Coaches, develops, and motivates team to meet or exceed department standards; identifies training opportunities.  Effectively supports and manages customer relationships.   Compiles and conducts performance appraisals and check point meetings. Supervises, evaluates performance, and recommends salary/promotion changes for personnel. Initiates and maintains various team and department reports.  Participates in strategic and tactical planning. Observes and evaluates staff performance daily while providing communication to management.   Ensures customer care and productivity standards are met/exceeded. Approves time cards, vacation requests/pooled time off, and tracks attendance patterns, while facilitating the staffing needs of the business.   Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.  Effectively supports and promotes the GMAC Insurance Brand internally and externally.

 

Job Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 1-5 years of successful management experience in a sales-focused environment along with successful experience coaching and developing employees to achieve/exceed performance goals. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Must be highly effective at managing change and process improvement. The qualified candidate should be an action-oriented decision maker with excellent problem solving skills. Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Power Point are required. A college degree or equivalent work experience is also required. Previous Property & Casualty insurance experience is preferred. Previous project management experience is desired. The ability to identify and implement best practices is preferred. Microsoft Project and Visio skills would be a plus.
