This position provides technical support to Sensory & Product Performance activities by performing routine functions independently as a team member for the Sara Lee Food & Beverage and Food Service businesses.


 


KEY FUNCTIONS:


Lead technical support of Sensory & Product Performance for new & improved products.

Maintain close communication with team members from R&D, Marketing, Marketing 

Research, Regulatory/Labeling, Baking and Meat  Technology, Food Service, Graphics, Purchasing, Engineering, Consumer Affairs, Legal, Sales,  and Bakeries 

Manage all internal sensory test sites and coordinate some external (contract) facility site testing. Coordinate/schedule a multitude of internal sensory evaluations and independently prepare/conduct taste panels.

Perform statistical analysis and provides product guidance via formal written sensory reports.

Conduct annual sensory audits on refrigerated dough products for The Kroger Company.

Provide serving/handling instruction support/expertise.

Evaluate audits on outside (contract) sensory facilities to assure compliance to Sara Lee approved sensory testing guidelines.

Oversee external temporary/contract employee and other duties as assigned.

Applied Science Degree (emphasis in Sensory, Food or related field) with some statistical training.Minimum 5-8 years of sensory experience in a related position. Experience in sensory and culinary area is required.
