Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Tax Accountant position is responsible for ensuring that FLNA is in compliance with income tax accounting, disclosure and reporting requirements. ?It is also responsible for determining and reporting the effective income tax and cash tax rates for the AOP, forecast and strategic plan.

SFAS 109 Accounting:

- Prepare FLNA submissions (Hyperion) and report total results to PepsiCo Corporate on a periodic basis
- Prepare prior year provision-to-return adjustments
- Prepare current and deferred tax accounts
- Reconcile related balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis
- Participate in quarterly balance sheet review to Controller
- Provide cause of change analysis for all aspects of reporting
- Provide updated tax information/tax law changes to Fixed Assets for appropriate system calculation of tax depreciation
- Periodic review of the balance sheet accounts and business transactions to identify potential new deferred tax balances for the Division
- Provide liaison role between Division Tax Department and Corporate Tax Department regarding tax reserves, tax issues, tax rate changes, tax return preparation and Tax Director's review of accounts

AOP, Forecast and Strategic Plan:

- Prepare FLNA submissions
- Calculate and submit effective income tax rates
- Provide cash flow income tax analysis and reporting
- Provide cause of change analysis

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum 4 years of experience, including a minimum of two years public accounting experience
- Minimum 1 year tax accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of organizational skills as evidenced by proficiency in documentation and communication
- Team player, strong interpersonal skills
- Self motivated with desire for making an impact
- Proficient with computers/applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- SFAS 109, Accounting for Income Taxes experience preferred
- Hyperion Enterprise experience preferred
