Shipping Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Supervise all shipping, 7 direct reports and up to 130 indirect reports.Handle all employee issues involving discipline, including 1st step grievances.Monitor all production and accuracy performance and issues for the departments, holding the employees accountable for results.Monitor shift-shipping supervisors and ensure the workload is getting the proper attention.Analyze procedures and systems that are in place and recommend and implement changes that will maximize the daily output.Monitor the use of temps and overtime and reduce cost in these areas as much as possible.Address all inventory issues and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.Develop line of communications between shifts and departments to help foster a team environment.JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Computer experience to include MS Office.Min. 10 years of supervisory experience.Proven analytical, organizational and communication skills.BA in Business, logistics or related field desired.Self-starter, comfortable with making decisions with minimum input. Accomplishes results with minimal supervision.
