Sourcing Process Manager

CITY: Wayne STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
1. Function as primary process lead for cross-departmental ModSpace Sourcing initiatives.
2. Develop sourcing metrics to ensure annual savings targets are tracked and achieved. Includes both parts and services Sourcing goals.
3. Lead weekly Process Improvement Reviews with ModSpace Sourcing Leader to capture cost savings opportunities (i.e. Sourcing/Buyer Pipeline) and successes.
4. Provide sourcing process leadership and root cause analysis to drive changes required to make the Parts Inventory system work effectively for the ModSpace business.
5. Track branch usage of operations and maintenance system to input the right level of information to allow sourcing to capitalize on data analysis to be used in supplier negotiations for services.
6. Lead supplier catalog project and establish owner responsibilities for creation and maintenance of catalogs in business purchasing system.
7. Further enhance the sourcing database with assistance from IT and other supporting functions.
8. Analyze regional parts and services spend. Develop actionable analytics for Regional Sourcing Managers and Branch Managers to take action.
9. Develop supplier scorecards and complete for annual recognition review.
10. Establish preferred supplier programs and lead new savings initiatives.
11. Establish a robust inspection process and supplier qualification program (parts, equipment)
12. Develop a warranty process for the business for both parts and equipment
13. Establish discounts program to consolidate and convert suppliers to GE standard payment terms


Qualifications/Requirements:
Holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or Information Technology or has minimum 4 yrs of quality, sourcing, operations, or engineering experience
2. Has minimum of 5 yrs of information technology, operations, and/or quality/process improvement/lean experience
3. Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills
4. Manage multiple tasks and high volume workload
5. Prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines
6. Is PC proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint with aptitude to learn new systems quickly
7. Has ability to learn the basics of the Replacement Parts Programs - parts terminology; Parts Inventory functionality; branch/supplier operations, etc.


Desired:
1. MBA or FMP/IMLP graduate preferred
2. Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt) preferred
