Position Summary:

 

The Southwest Region Director is responsible for contract oversight and program management of the Kaiser Permanente and Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. security services contract in the Southwest Region. The Southwest Region includes 16 major Medical Centers and over 91 outlying medical facilities throughout Southern California. The Southwest Region Director reports directly to the Vice President and General Manager, Inter-Con?s Healthcare Security Service Group.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 Exercises line command authority over the Southwest Region Operations Managers and Contract Security Managers throughout Northern California area;Responsible for the direct oversight of the day-to-day security operations throughout the Southwest Region;Ensures security program continuity through the development and implementation of security plans, checklists, policies and procedures and training programs for Kaiser Permanente;Direct oversight of Security Management Plan development and the completion of Annual Risk Assessments for Medical Centers within the Southwest Region;Ensures Healthcare Security Officers are trained and certified in the Basic IAHSS Course and JCAHO/CAL OSHA mandated training standards;Reviews security reports, administrative action, staffing schedules, and other documentation generated by the medical facilities;Responds to critical incidents and interfaces with Kaiser Permanente Regional and National representatives during catastrophic events;Responsible for contract compliance;Directly responsible for budget and reconciliation process for recurring and non-recurring security services; Meets regularly with Kaiser Permanente Administrators and attends administration meetings and seminars associated with safety and security for Kaiser Permanente medical facilities.
