Spare Parts Inventory Buyer

As a Spares Buyer at IM Flash Technologies, you will be responsible for the identifying, procuring, and maintaining inventory of spare and consumable materials required to sustain the operations of semiconductor manufacturing.  The Spares Buyer will be accountable to the assigned manufacturing areas to ensure inventory is available when needed.  Buyer will meet on a regular basis with customers and suppliers to maintain appropriate working relationship and communication of expectations from both entities.  Assist customer groups with identifying alternate sources focusing on quality and cost as the drivers.  Coordination and direction of supplier/customer meetings.  Coordination with buyers from other sites to ensure lowest cost advantages are achieved.  Develop and maintain industry contacts internal and external to the company to identify industry trends, technology direction, pricing and lead time trends.  Works with internal business analysts to validate processes and ensure department goals are being met, develop and track metrics on inventory performance, take lead role in meetings with customers reviewing metrics and relating to customer expectations.  Buyer will work within a team atmosphere focused on customer satisfaction.  Interaction with companies performing services on site will be required.



Qualified candidates will have a fundamental technical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process and the materials involved and strong business skills with emphasis on inventory and supply chain management.  You will bring to this position solid contract and negotiation skills.
 
Other desirable competencies include being skilled at directing meetings and supplier negotiations; ability to communicate with personnel in the technical/engineering professions; presentation skills necessary to professionally represent the department to internal customers and supplier contacts; and strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to routinely and effectively interact with customer and supplier groups as well as internal departmental communication. It is also essential that you are customer service oriented, that you be comfortable working in a team environment, and you are willing to travel as necessary.
 
Required Education:
BS in Business or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years procurement experience Inventory purchasing  and experience supporting manufacturing areas preferred. 



**Initial training will be conducted in Manassas, Virginia, and Boise, Idaho. Position will be located in Lehi, Utah.**
