Position Summary:

 Responsible for analyzing, planning and coordinating material purchases and production plans to achieve established production, customer service, inventory and purchasing objectives. The successful individual is pro-active and engages enthusiastically in the problem solving process and exhibits strong follow through.

 

 

Description:

 Responsible for Product schedulingCoordination of entire plant schedule conflicts, formulating recovery schedulesDispositions surplus and obsolescenceAccountable for directing, controlling and coordinating product material ordering and manufacturing order releasingAnalyzes MRP, Sales orders, etc. to initiate actionsRequires product knowledge, Manufacturing systems, inventory control, scheduling techniques.Tracks shortages and works with buyers/CM?s on ensuring stock is available for production scheduleVerifies documentation and revision levels prior to order releaseInteracts daily with third party contractors to ensure timely and accurate coordination of materials and resources to meet the Master Production Schedule while conforming to the goals and objectives for Customer Service and inventory managementIssues all releases to third party contractors and assist in the timely movement of material through the manufacturing processResolves, within scope of authority, accounts payable or supplier payment problems, informational requirements, payables or credit status communications issues, or other procurement related issuesMakes accurate commits and meet on time shipment goals

 

 

Requirements:

 College degree or equivalent experienceBusiness degree APICS certification (not just completed courses but actual certification)Intermediate to advanced Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio skills. Knowledge of Oracle planning software5+ years production planning experience in manufacturing environmentGood organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-taskGood interpersonal skillsAbility to work with technical documentsStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills Good mathematical skillsDemonstrate strong analytical, time management and follow up skills.Self-motivatedAttention to detailOracle 11i MRP experience a must, ASCP preferred
