Sr. VoIP Architect / Engineer

The Senior VoIP Engineer will be the technical lead for system design and migration to a Broadsoft VoIP solution within a geographically diverse customer.  Considerable experience developing successful VoIP architectures and migration strategies within a heterogeneous environment is required.  Strong understanding of interfacing with TDM telephony including PBX and Key Systems is essential, with the ability to create integration and migration plans, and engineering procedural documentation.  The candidate may also be called upon to guide and/or direct lab testing of new design elements.
  Technical background must encompass IP networking, QoS at L2 (802.1q, 802.1p) and L3 (MPLS), network readiness assessments, writing and executing ATP's, work with packet voice codes, and high level voice network design, including translations.  Preliminary VoIP design elements include high availability / redundant ALG's, SBC's, SIP Proxies and B2BUAs. Experience with H.323 and video is also a plus.
  Strong preference for a Washington DC based candidate.  Travel will be required, estimated overall at 10%, but initially will be significantly more.  Candidate must currently have or qualify for US Government "Secret" security clearance.  To be ultimately successful, the candidate must be a collaborative team player with good customer facing skills.

  10+ Years Industry Experience
  Advanced Degree in Engineering area
  Broadsoft VoIP experience.
  TDM telephony including PBX and Key Systems.
