MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. The appropriate individual should possess a strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically, written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills, along with the ability to lead team members, facilitate change, foster innovation and results, and manage all phases of a production unit.
2. Completion of all requirements of a four (4) year college degree (or equivalent) is essential to this position.

PURPOSE AND KEY RESULTS OF THE POSITION:
To serve as a resource and a leader for production team members, focusing on creating an environment whereby each team member can achieve the goals set forth in Total Productive Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, resulting in the highest customer/consumer value.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. To acquire and utilize the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively lead team members in supporting a culture which maximizes innovation, participation, rewards, and continual improvement.
2. Ensure appropriate levels of staffing for effective plant operations.
3. Serve as a training resource for team members and associate team leaders regarding team member skills, safety, sanitation programs, and plant process/flow.
4. Develop an understanding of equipment and machinery operations in order to serve as a resource to team members for preventive maintenance guidelines as well as unanticipated machinery breakdowns.
5. Understand and utilize quality concepts and processes such as S.P.C. and T.P.M. in order to interpret quality issues and recommendations suggested by team members.
6. Gain an understanding of high performance organizations and how it relates to a world class concepts such as Supply Chain Management, T.P.M., M.Q.S., etc., in order to maximize plant wide customer service. This accountability will be measured against the incumbents understanding of how his/her results impacts the departments, plant s, and company financial objectives.
7. Serve as a mentor/resource to other Front Line Leaders as well as the operators within the department, thereby aiding in their development and ensuring an understanding of Quaker s culture and values.
8. Demonstrate ability to utilize available application computer programs in order to facilitate the timely, accurate interpretation, and reporting of performance, quality, and safety data.
9. Provide resource assistance to employees regarding operational issues which are unprecedented or out of the ordinary.
10. Provide daily feedback to plant management as well as team members regarding reliability, safety, quality, and GMP statistics and information.
11. Acquire a basic understanding of the 90 day action plans and results and behaviors process and how it relates to financial reporting and budgeting, including, but not limited to, cullage, yields, and reliability s, as well as Run Strategy and all conversion and or deployment KPI s.
12. Must demonstrate ability to take information obtained in step 11, and communicate information to appropriate team members thereby increasing team member knowledge and value.
13. Ensure plant effective operations by functioning within the parameters as required by government regulatory agencies and corporate/plant policies and procedures.
14. Must demonstrate ability to think and operate within a global environment whereby the overall good of the plant and company comes first. This will be evidenced by the tearing down of perceived walls and barriers to performing one s responsibilities.
15. Must demonstrate ability to facilitate project work with minimal coaching. This will assure successful project implementation and completions within the parameters set forth.
