Technology Supplier (Sr. Manager)

In this position, the individual will be responsible for manage and maintain relationship with Silicon Suppliers of key technology products including world leading foundries. Work closely with Finance to negotiate/monitor wafer prices and capacity with JV. Manage all aspects of relationship and other technology suppliers (pricing, capacity, NRE/technology support, delivery, quality). The individual will also be responsible for Face to Face meetings in Asia and other supplier areas. Manage yield improvement and technology transitions with an understanding of the technical issues involved. Work closely with planning teams to optimize supply chain performance. Work with suppliers to manage pull-in/push-out to optimize inventory position. Manage uncertainty due to technology ramp up, process improvement and technology transitions. Coordinate procurement activities closely with SanDisk Engineering, Planning and Product Management teams to monitor and report on health of key programs and manage on-going production.. Work closely with SanDisk Finance to monitor and report on health of point developments/ investment/capital utilization.

The position requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Masters preferred with a minimum of 5 years experience in semiconductor or electronics industry. Semiconductor manufacturing (in fab or foundry) experience required. Hands on Semiconductor process or product engineering experience required. Understanding of core fab manufacturing areas including process/yield/capacity/flexibility/quality required. 1-2 years in business role (manufacturing/marketing/purchasing/consulting) required. MBA emphasis on manufacturing/operations is preferred.
