Traffic Coordinator

Overview

Farm Journal Media is an agricultural company headquartered in Philadelphia, PA.  The company publishes 4 magazines that cater to large farm producers across the country.  Company holdings include TV, newsletters, a database division and the agricultural web site http://www.agweb.com.  Currently, AgWeb is in search of a Traffic Coordinator for a variety of  production, sales suppoert and project management tasks required to deploy, monitor and manage the delivery of on-site advertising and email campaigns for AgWeb.

 

The position is located in center city Lafayette, IN.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties include, but are not limited to, the following:  (Other duties may be assigned.)

?  Order entry & deployment.  Inputs and tracks sales contracts, including maintaining accurate and complete files.  Directly input and deploy advertising and email campaigns via Double-Click, Magnet Mail, Key-Survey or other on-line systems.  Makes supervisor or others aware of any technical problems or missing creative, and recommends course-of-action alternatives.

?  Site & email metrics.  Regularly monitors system reports to confirm client ad units are being delivered correctly.  Runs regular Web Trends activity reports? and distributes as requested.  Brings any special situations to the attention of Supervisor or others.

?  Inventory management.  Maintains inventory master schedule for all AgWeb products & services to monitor/track revenue and site/inventory utilization.  Keeps supervisor apprized of problem areas and recommend course-of-action alternatives.

?  House advertising liaison.  Serves as key liaison with management and support staff at remote locations, i.e. Philadelphia, South Bend and Cedar Falls, for marketing & communications requests that require AgWeb services.

?  Site monitor.  Proactively monitors site functions and advertising activity to ensure that ad deployment is functioning properly.  Keeps sales apprized of problem areas and recommend course-of-action alternatives. 

?  Revenue and month-end.  Maintains accurate record of all revenue by clint, month etc.  Prepares weekly WAR reports.  Completes month-end invoice processing. 

?  Email campaigns & deployment.  Serve as production coordinator for deployment of client emails, daily/weekly e-newsletter, company promotions, press releases, research surveys etc. as delivered via direct email.  Also works to coordinate between sales and IT to ensure that data-specific lists are employed accurately. Proactively follows up to ensure that emails deployed and functioned properly.  Keeps sales apprized of problem areas and recommend course-of-action alternatives.

?  Staff support.  Serve as direct staff support to supervisor and AgWeb Sales staff and as liaison to customers for ad requirements, artwork & specifications, etc.  Assists sales staff in development of integrated orders & advertising campaigns.  Provide superior customer service and follow-up. 

?  Other.  Serve as Project Manager on a variety of assignments as needed. Perform business administration duties as needed.

 Education/Skills/Professional Experience

Qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

? College degree with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing or Accounting.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.

? 2+ years experience with basic accounting, project management, and sales/marketing.

? Must be able to multi-task & work both independently and with others.

? Required:  Working experience & proficiency with software programs including Word, Excel & Outlook.  Access, PowerPoint & specific Internet experience are a plus.
