Translations Department Manager

Professional Translating Services, Inc. seeks an experienced manager to oversee the overall logistics of its translations department.

 

Our network consists of a full-time staff of over 60 in-house linguists and project management executives in five locations throughout North and South America.

 

Since 1973, we have provided multinational businesses, advertising agencies, publishers, law firms, and individuals with quality written translations. We are pleased to count among our many long-standing clients, firms such as Nike, Caterpillar, Citibank and Carnival Cruise Lines. These companies rely on our team of translation services company linguists, editors and account service professionals to bridge their language/communication needs.

 

Job Description

The Translation Department Manager will be responsible of the following duties:Organize workflows and monitor production schedules Supervise account executives, translator and editors Train employees on translation software Manage translation memory banks Produce reports and analyze data Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reports Establish production goals Analyze internal resource needs of the department Reports directly to CEO and Dir. of Operations

 

QualificationsHigh energy individual Great people skills Bilingual Graduate degree preferred Microsoft office proficient Lingusitic background preferred Managerial experience necessary Must be comfortable with high levels of responsibility, accountability and authority
