Shell Chemicals, LP is currently seeking a Turnaround Team Leader for its Deer Park, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the scope development, planning and execution of the 2008 OP-2 / Heavy Olefins Turnaround.
Key accountabilities include:
- Assisting in planning and execution of 2006 OP-3 / HOA Turnaround, with transition to 2008 OP-2 / HOA Turnaround by end of 3Q06
- Acting as team leader for scope definition, planning and execution of 2008 OP-2 / HOA Turnaround
- Developing premises for the 2008 OP-2 / HOA Turnaround, and delivery of those premises
- Working in conjunction with the Turnaround Manger to develop a staffing plan to plan and execute the 2008 OP-2 / Heavy Olefins Turnaround (OP-2, BEU, CIPX, HT2, HT3 & IRU) effectively, and in co-operation with the customers to deliver results consistent with the established TA premises above
- Ensuring all scope is captured in T/A Work Letter ? maintenance, local and major capital projects, turnaround projects, and other program work (CUI, PMI, CWT, etc.)
- Developing T/A Milestone Schedule consistent with Downstream T/A work process for jumbo turnarounds, including all optimization protocols - 3 external readiness reviews, fat rat workshops, peer reviews, etc.
- Ensuring that all scope is risk assessed within accepted practices
- Ensuring that turnaround schedule is integrated seamlessly with all activities ? feeding out to on spec, including shutdown, decontamination, execution, commissioning, and start-up
- Acting as member of the T/A Steering Team for the 2008 OP-2 / HOA Turnaround. Team Leader for the T/A Leadership Team
- Ensuring that all operational activities are executed included system level planning, consistent with Downstream T/A work process and ?Flawless? concepts
- Actively contributing and site sponsoring the development of the turnaround contracting strategy
- Ensuring that consistent planning premises are incorporated into the planning process ? estimating tools, productivity factors, etc.
- Ensuring that the turnaround is executed in compliance with safety and environmental standards and regulations
- Ensuring compliance to all appropriate work processes (Downstream T/A, Project Controls, MOC, etc)
- Ensuring multi-discipline integration and alignment of contractor and Shell organization
- Ensuring optimal control of safety, scope, costs, time and quality, including taking corrective measures
- Coaching, developing and motivating staff to ensure their well-being, flexibility, efficiency and co-operation in their deployment
- Being accountable for controlling scope by consistent application of addenda process
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a high school diploma/GED and approximately 10 or more years experience in maintenance, turnarounds, projects and/or engineering at manufacturing locations (chemical plants and/or oil refineries). A Bachelor?s Degree is preferred.
