WEBCAST OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

The most comprehensive online rich media communications service provider, Onstream Media is the Internet?s first total solutions provider for all aspects of live and on-demand rich media communications, including Digital Asset Management, Webcasting, Webconferencing, and Content Publishing.

 

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Webcast Operations Director at our Pompano Beach Headquarters.

 

General Purpose of the Position:

 

Manage all operational aspects of the Webcasting Division, including managing the Webcast Events Managers and the Encoding Engineers.  This position is also responsible for process improvement, event-related customer service, and problem resolution, and will serve as the escalation resource for a variety of operational issues.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Manage the Webcasting Operations.

 

2.  Create and refine internal processes to improve efficiencies, turn around time and quality.

 

3.  Work directly with clients and re-sellers to develop and deliver ?outside-the-box? solutions.

 

4.  Manage staff in the Webcasting Division, including mentoring, coaching, support, and performance review preparation and finalization.

 

5.  Liaise with personnel in the Sales as well as other technical departments to effect successful order completion.

 

6.  Generate reports to keep Senior Management apprised of workflow, including failure incident reporting.

 

 Skills and Abilities:

 

5 ? 7 years experience in a Team/Project Manager role.

 

Proven expertise in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, and solving problems and issues.

 

Experience in Sales Engineering and Event Production.

 

Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

 

Ability to prioritize problem resolutions among diverse client/re-seller entities.

 

Strong relationship and time management, with excellent interpersonal skills.

 

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

 





Computer Equipment and Software:

 

Thorough familiarity with production and signal transmission processes.

 

Knowledge of Streaming/Digital Media technology (WMP, Real, QT, Flash) preferable.

 

HTML knowledge desirable.

 

 Reports To:  Vice President, Webcasting

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

Four-year college degree required, preferably in technical discipline.

 

Highly developed leadership and project management skills required.
