Job Description



Create and execute communications strategy for major change initiatives and for cascading organizational strategy
Pro-actively map communication implications/needs of organizational and strategic changes and decisions
Ensure that internal communications is integrated to reflect the desired tone and culture of the organization
Consult Bank leaders on effective communication strategies
Develop and/or edit Senior Management messages, including appropriate talking points
Coach Bank leaders to strengthen verbal and written communications with staff and implement improvement strategies across the organization
Assess and ?read? the organizational and business unit culture
Conduct research and analysis on benchmarks; assess employee communications and monitor success against goals
Create change management/communications networks across the organization
Devise feedback and two-way communications mechanisms to garner employee, manager and officer input
Work closely with strategic planning, organizational development and talent management teams to defined key organizational messages
Collaborate with web content teams to disseminate messages via web (when needed)
Organize, support, and coordinate Bank-wide internal communication activities, programs and specific projects on behalf of the Bank
Set direction for and implement various programs and activities aimed at enhancing public understanding and support for the FRBC and the System consistent with the Bank's stated goals
Assess staffing needs and oversee related personnel functions such as hiring, counseling, motivating, rewarding and developing employees
Oversee various department internal support and administrative functions and provide backup for department officer
Write, produce, and disseminate information such as brochures, newsletters, promotional and marketing materials with particular emphasis on specific audiences
Performs other duties as required





Essential Skills



Bachelors Degree; Communications, journalism, public relations, business or related field major preferred
7 to 10 years of experience with creative internal campaigns, including 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
Proven writing and oral communications skills including ability to convey complex subject matter in understandable and interesting style
Proven skills in project management, including ability to plan and organize events
Background in economics, business, finance and/or banking preferred
Understanding of the work of the Federal Reserve is a plus
