A world-class leader in AV technology and integration, we are growing again, and seek an experienced Audio Visual Systems FIELD SERVICE TECH. MANAGER.  This challenging position will provide key assistance to our professional Dallas  division in a variety of ways.

 

This position oversees and manages the  servicing of previously-installed audio visual systems and equipment in client locations.  Are you good at making things happen ? in a team environment?

The AUDIO VISUAL FIELD SERVICE TECH. MANAGER is responsible for OVERSEEING & SCHEDULING THE  REPAIRING, ADJUSTING, and CALIBRATION  of AV equipment and complex systems.

 

He / she delivers quality service on-time, on-budget, & safely.  This is a KEY position in maintaining AVI?s blue-ribbon reputation for quality service. 

 

The Field Service Manager is an AV ?expert,?  a trouble-shooting detective, a fixer, a teacher, a trainer, a bona-fide ambassador.  Is this you?

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-  Manage, schedule, technician crew.

-  Interpret schematics; trouble-shoot & diagnose complex system problems; repair & re-program controls in the field (AX/Crestron); take corrective actions.

-  Test systems; train clients on use; develop positive and effective customer interactions.

-  Use hand tools & test equipment, solder & crimp connections, pull cable, lift up to 75#, sometimes overhead, climb ladders/lifts to 35 feet+

 

What we expect (the qualifications)

-  Verifiable, solid service technician experience.

- Verifiable management / supervisory experience. Customer service and/or installation/repair supervisory experience is preferred

-  A formal education in electronics or a related field. Certifications?

-  The knowledge and proficiency for servicing today?s sophisticated AV equipment and systems.  You have to be able to walk-the-walk.

-  PC literate - use the Windows package for effect. Word, Outlook and Excel must be good friends.

-  Able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, yet always seeing the big picture.  Do you have examples?

- An excellent communicator ?. With clients?. colleagues ?.. management

- You will need to supply some of your own tools ? you are a professional, right?
