Analyst, Procurement

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Vice Presidents in the Procurement Group. The Analyst reports directly to the Director, Strategic Contracting and Procurement Information Systems.  The position requires strong technical and reporting skills in the areas of data analysis, research and project management.  Activities include: key performance and business indictors, compliance reporting, item availability analysis, distribution item pricing tool, tracking of supplier?s service level performance, and bracket review analysis.  The analyst will work with existing data and/or obtain data pertaining to specific requirements. The analyst will interact within Strategic Contracting as well as across many Avendra departments. 

 

 Responsibilities:

?  Provide financial and analytical support to the contracting group.

?  Ability to develop spreadsheets, prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain databases.

? Manage the bracket review process; review data, insure data accuracy, process exception requests on a timely based, and communicate bracket changes to appropriate parties. 

?  Generate, update, and maintain monthly service level reports for publication to the founders and key external customers. This report will include fill rates, private label product, slow/dead inventory, and slow paying accounts.

?  Manage the US, Y/N process to ensure proper flagging of Avendra contract items and Founder specs.

?  Identify item availability issues in distribution centers and notify Regional Contracting team regarding houses with low item availability.

? Maintain and publish a proprietary item list by warehouse.  Evaluate current propriety item list by warehouse to help ensure maximized savings by item by warehouse.

? Manage the supplier portal components; Item Pricing Portal and Regional Service Area, as well as the support the e-Auction tool.

?  Assist in the ongoing process improvement projects to increase efficiencies, reduce contract cycle time, and improve workflow.

?  Generate ad hoc reports utilizing internal reporting tools.

?  Perform additional duties as assigned.

?  Proven strong technical, financial and analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheets, modeling applications and databases. 

?  Ability to sort through various data sources and summarize details in business report format. 

?  Superior organizational, writing, and project management skills in order to effectively maintain and report on critical procurement processes.

?  Detailed orientated, ability to follow-up timely, complete tasks as instructed, has a strong sense of urgency, and interacts well with others in stressful situations.

?  Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous work environment.

?  Work within Strategic Contracting and internal Avendra resources cross functionally.

?  Knowledge of contracting processes and familiarity of the supplier community a plus.
