Analyst TM&D

Philip Morris USA, a leading manufacturer and marketer of adult consumer products, seeks a qualified Warehouse Analyst to join our Customer Service and Merchandising group in Glen Allen, VA. The successful candidate will support our commitment to outstanding customer service by assuring timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods and promotional materials to our nationwide network of public warehouses.

Qualifications
Specific accountabilities include:
-- Assuring that warehouses adhere to contractual agreements pertaining to operations and quality.
-- Performing and supporting warehouse audits, to include physical inventory audits.
-- Supporting the daily domestic shipment activity from off-sites to public warehouse facilities.
-- Providing contract administration and negotiation of public warehouse rates including storage and handling, returns, recoup/damage, and special situations.
-- Identifying system performance enhancements and assembling teams and tools to ensure implementation of improvements.
-- Identifying problems with inventory discrepancies and defining and documenting corrective actions.
-- Assisting warehouses with capacity issues and scheduling inbound shipments.
-- Managing the resolution of claims and damages.
-- Assisting with the development and monitoring of warehouse budgets.

Qualifications include:
-- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration or Logistics Management plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
-- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
-- Highly developed negotiation and communication skills.
-- Knowledge and experience in basic accounting and financial procedures as well as project management disciplines.
-- The ability to successfully manage and solve complex business problems through a team based approach.
-- A working knowledge of SAP and fluency in the Microsoft suite of office applications.
-- A willingness to accommodate frequent travel (approximately 50%), flexible hours, and occasional weekend/holiday work requirements.
-- The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
