The ideal candidate is positive and results oriented, with a degree, certificate and/or training in an electronics related field.  Must have ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

 Knowledge/Abilities

 

Knowledge of all facets of inventory management including receiving and tracking shipments; labeling and stocking materials; issuing materials

 

Mechanical aptitude and general understanding of electronic components

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and preferably an inventory system (e.g., MAS-90)

 

Strong organizational, communication (written and oral) skills

 

Attention to detail and results driven


Service-oriented with an ability to interact well with othersResponsibilities

 

Follow a troubleshooting flow chart to resolve part number issues: 

-  Monitor part numbers and act on duplicate and/or bad numbers 

-  Assist in finding correct part numbers and descriptions

 

Assist with transfer tracking entry of hand carried items for repair or replacement.

 

Receipt inbound equipment for repair or exchange and ensure it reaches correct department with its origin and destination info intact.

 

Barcodes management:

-  Issue additions and damage replacements

-  Mark barcodes in system for disposed of or lost equipment

-  Order barcode numbers from vendor; track number series to prevent duplication

 

Monitor automated asset tracking program daily for issues:

-  Act as help desk for tracking purposes

-  Monitor transfer tracking FTP server and report issues to IT

 

Keep track of remote PDA/scanners and keep spare unit ready to ship

 

Maintain spare scanning equipment for shop use

 

Assist operations in getting information collected for international shipments

 

Physical inventories:

-  Work with operations, transportation, and receiving to schedule physical counts at regular intervals.

-  Act as help desk for established inventory protocol and help with software questions.

-  New equipment monitoring as received to ensure system entry.  

 

Interface with accounting and software vendor when software errors occur.

 

Physical Requirements

Occasional (up to 25% of time on job): Bending, crawling, repetitive twisting involving wrists or hands.  Frequently (25-75% of time on the job): Standing, walking, sitting, lifting (light (< 10 lbs.) to heavy (> 40 lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching (low to high), near and far vision, depth perception, color vision, operation of machinery
