CAD OPERATOR Rockwell Scientific Company (RSC) Imaging Division is a leading manufacturer of infrared and visible focal plane arrays (FPAs) and imaging systems for ultra-high performance markets such as astronomy, space, and defense based applications. The product lines include monolithic CMOS read-out integrated circuits (ROICs) and CMOS ROICs hybridized to Mercury-Cadmium-Telluride detectors. RSC is rapidly expanding in the infrared sub systems area - these systems typically consist of an FPA integrated in a Dewar assembly with a cryogenic cooler and associated control electronics.

How would you like being a drafter in a dynamic and fast growing team that develops the Dewar/cooler assemblies (including the electrical, mechanical, and thermal interface with the FPA) for challenging space and military applications?

Primary Responsibilities
Generate detailed drawings in SolidWorks from SolidWorks 3D models - typically of packaged Infrared Focal Plane Arrays This includes finished products and component breakdownEdit existing 3D models to incorporate changes; process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) Generate and edit AutoCad drawings

 

Skills/Experience
4 years experience with mechanical and electrical drafting Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standard, SolidWorks, and AutoCADEducation
Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting or related field, or equivalent
