Cardiac Cath Nurse / Sinai
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of nursing and technical duties, including, but not limited to cardiac catherization, coronary angioplasty, atherectomy, intra-coronary stent placement, rotoblator, etc. May provide support to electrophusiologic studies, pacemaker, and AICD insertions, etc. Equipment utilized may include, but is not limited to, monitoring equipment, surgical instruments,cardiac outpatient machine, pulse oximeter, ECG machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, percutaneous cardiopulmonary support system, cine film processor, etc. Assits with pre and post procedure management of patients according to lab guidelines; start's IV's administers medications, and monitors patients during examinations.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Two (2) years as an RN in an Intensive Care environment (ICU, CCU, ER, etc.) or 1 year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab. Currently licensed as an RN in Maryland. Must have completed CPR Healthcare Provider or CPR for the Professional Rescuer course. ACLS certification.
