Commercial Collections Representative

We are currently looking for a Commercial Collections Representative to collect on business to business accounts. Candidate MUST have prior Commercial Collections experience. This is a full time position M-F from 8-5 and is temporary to hire.

Responsibilities:

 Performing timely collection of accounts receivables, identification and resolution of charge-backs, and short payments with a gentle yet assertive natureObtain promise-to-pay from Customers/DebtorsMaintain acceptable levels of call volumesMaintain up-to-date documentation online for all accountsDocumentation of all collection activityAnswering incoming calls & emails, assisting internal and external customersProcessing statementsPrepare/distribute required reports to managementRespond to document requestsResearch unapplied cashReceiving and processing approved claimsProcessing credit card paymentsMaking credit decisions, completing requested credit referencesProcesses change of address requestsReviews files to select delinquent accounts for collection effortsReview delinquent accounts and determine the actions required3rd Party Collections, bankruptcy and COD check issuesComply with collection practices to include Right to Privacy ActAssist in month-end closingsCommunicate with Manager regularly regarding collection/delinquency tends, accounts over 45 and problem accountsOther duties as directed by Supervisor and/or ManagerWork overtime as required by management

 

Qualifications:

Required Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentCommercial Collections experience (understand the collection process, purpose, and effective methods of collecting)Credit experienceTyping, 10 Key SkillComputer Skills ? to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Internal and External Customer contact/phone skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates the ability to prioritize workflow, Strong time management and organizational skills, work independently and as a team member
