General Personnel Qualifications:should be organized and have fundamental mathematical abilityshould possess a good working knowledge of soil and concrete propertiesmust be able to communicate and write effectivelyState MCIB and/or ACI concrete field inspector's license requiredNuclear gauge (Troxler) safety training certification preferredpriority given to applicants with applicable inspection experiencemust own a dependable vehicle for transportation to/from sites

Description of Field Duties:
?
Field inspectors are responsible for monitoring construction operations at sites throughout Central Massachusetts.? The individual would complete field tests on soil/concrete and/or other construction aspects (masonry/asphalt/roofing) and submit written reports summarizing the work, materials, test results, and conclusions.? The employee would also be responsible for performing laboratory tests on samples of various field materials.? Individuals must be in good health and physically capable of climbing ladders, negotiating slopes/difficult terrain, and occasionally lifting up to 50? lb.

Description of Laboratory Duties:
?
Technicians?are expected to perform a wide variety of laboratory tests on soil/concrete/asphalt/masonry materials in a fast paced environment.? Work would be completed under the direction of a professional engineer in accordance with ASTM methods and procedures.? Technician must also be familiar with basic soil tests (gradation, hydrometer/atterberg, and proctor methods) and have some knowledge of more advanced procedures.? Employee is expected to performed moderately physical work while accurately processing, recording and calculating data for the laboratory tests.
