Draper?s roots date to the 1930s when Dr. Charles Stark Draper created a teaching laboratory at MIT to develop the instrumentation needed to make precise measurements of angular and linear motion. The Laboratory was renamed for its founder in 1970 and remained a part of MIT until 1973 when it became an independent, not-for-profit research and development corporation.

 

Since the beginning, Draper has nurtured a highly skilled and motivated work force supported by a network of exceptional design, fabrication, and test facilities. Position Description & Responsibilities

 

Principle responsibilities will include a wide range of contract administration activities in the Government and Commericial contracting fields. Position will include participation in the proposal submission process, reviewing terms and conditions, contract negotiation, monitoring contract performance, sponsor interface and close out requirements. Knowledge of FAR, various other Government procurement regulations (e.g., DFARS, ITAR, etc.) and negotiating experience required. Successful candidate will have a keen interest in business/contract law, excellent communication skills and strong computer literacy. Familiarity and/or prior direct experience with an Enterprise-Wide Resource Planning system is desired.

 

Required Education and Experience

 

Bachelors degree plus 4-7+ years experience required; prime contract procurement responsibilities preferred. U.S. citizenship and some travel required.
