Contracts Administrator - (Space&NavJO24005)

L-3 Space & Navigation, located in Budd Lake, NJ, is one of the world's premier providers of inertial instruments and integrated fire control systems to the global market. We currently have a position available for Contracts Administrator. A major supplier of high quality Pointing, Guidance, Control and Positioning equipment for satellites, artillery, and launch vehicles, serving the military, commercial and government markets. The division's products and capabilities include Fiber Optic Gyros, Ring Laser Gyros, Momentum and Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Control Moment Gyros, Tactical Inertial Measurement Unit, Position Navigation Units and Fire Control and Digital Battlefield Solutions. Space & Navigation has provided state-of-the-art systems for critical and strategically important space and national defense programs as well as being the premier supplier of precision pointing and position location systems for the US Army.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Manage contractual processes on assigned contracts, including government direct, indirect, and commercial.
Provide contractual guidance required to successfully bid and win new business.
Respond to customer inquiries and serve as focal point for formal communications with the customer.
Represent L-3 Space and Navigation in a professional manner in contract negotiations and other discussions.
Monitor company performance on contracts

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: (SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS DURING NEXT 6-18 MONTHS)
Assist Program Mangers and Business Development in biding and winning new and follow-on business by providing contractual and business guidance.
Manage production, spare, and development contracts providing high quality contract administration services.
Provide support and business guidance to Program Managers and marketing personnel on contractual or proposal matters.

ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS REQUIRED/SOUGHT:
Computer proficiency is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong organizational skills.
Working knowledge of government direct/indirect contract administration, pricing, FAR/DFAR, and program administration is required.
Export Control Administration experience a plus.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED/SOUGHT:
B.A./B.S. and 2 years contracting experience. In lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience.
