Description
The Corporate Compensation Department, located in Pleasanton, California, has an opening for a Director, Human Resources Technology position.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Acts as an advisor and consultant to the HR team and as a leader and program manager to identify, develop and implement HR technology solutions for Safeway.
Understand scope of the HR organization?s services, processes and current technologies and systems.
Partners with HR staff in enhancing current systems and processes and the development and implementation of new or revised systems or processes.
Performs, and/or directs staff in performing the, analysis of HR business needs, processes and workflows.
Prepares cost/benefit analysis on current relative to proposed processes and systems, presents alternatives and recommendations in order to facilitate management?s decision making.
Acts as advocate for the HR function with HR technology solutions based on understanding and experience of industry best practices. Identifies HR technology opportunities and applications.
Will partner and build relationships with internal IT staff, consultants, vendors to effect cost effective HR technology solutions.
Will develop communications to HR staff, IT and others to explain systems and processes.
May perform training on systems or applications functionality and use.
Acts as program manager for multiple cross-functional projects that support HR systems and transaction solutions and ensure timely implementation of projects, solutions and systems.
Required Skills
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR or related field.
Minimum 5 to 7 years functional HR experience.
Possess strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical skills and people skills in order to effectively work with the functional clients and vendors.
Previous consulting experience is desirable.
On-line compensation, performance management, application tracking or related HR technology tools experience is strongly preferred, demonstrated by either several years of system usage / administration and/or participation as a project manager or senior team member in system design and implementation.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel skill level.
Ability to deal with complex data in a demanding fast paced work environment.
Ability to partner and build effective relationships with team members and line management in addition to being flexible and team focused.
