GENERAL SUMMARY:
Champion a Safety, Health, and Environmental culture that encourages a high degree of employee involvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and administer EH&S programs to ensure compliance in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations. Obtain and maintain all applicable regulatory permits.
- Adhere to, promote, and provide input into Corporate PolyOne safety, health, and environmental practices and policies.
- Accountable for the development and implementation of the SH&E 5 year Forward Plan.
- Review, approve, and/or prepare all applicable regulatory reports and ensure that supporting documentation is maintained.
- Develop and maintain new Raw Material & MSDS review procedure.
- Develop, review, approve, and maintain plant policies and procedures to encompass most up to date regulatory changes and state of the art engineering advances.
- Develop and implement an Industrial Hygiene monitoring program and ensure appropriate monitoring and medical surveillance is complete.
- Investigate and attend appropriate continuing education. Maintain contact with all agencies to keep abreast of changing laws and regulations.
- Manage and review worker's compensation, loss control, insurance, and risk management programs.
- Develop, review, and conduct in house EH&S audits to identify issues and ensure compliance (safety policies, insurance, and process safety mgmt).
- Develop, maintain, and perform HAZOPS.
- Ensure that all EH&S documentation is maintained in accordance with all Federal, State, and local regulations.

Required Education:

-Bachelor's degree (in-lieu of degree,
-4 years of environmental experience in a manufacturing environment may substitute) 5
years of relevant manufacturing work experience to include experience in OSHA/EPA/Safety and prior supervisory experience.
-Knowledge of plant's manufacturing systems and processes.
-Knowledge of statistical analysis
-Ability to understand and interpret pertinent safety standards/regulations.
-Computer skills: Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet applications required (MS Word & Excel preferred).
-Strong organizational & problem-solving skills required.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
