EHS Process Manager - Pell City (92508-570)

Description

Responsible for implementing Corporate EHS programs with respect to environmental protection, worker safety, industrial hygiene and other related areas. Responsible for assisting all facility departments with overall regulatory compliance, adherence to the company?s environmental policy and implementation of NPCA Coatings Care program. A major area of focus will be implementation and maintenance process safety management systems. Other responsibilities will include training, record keeping, site audits, and project management. Additionally, this position will lead the local Safety Committee.
MAJOR DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Implements the Company?s safety program for the facility with the intention of reducing lost time accidents and insuring OSHA compliance.
Is responsible for implementation of waste management programs and acts as the waste accumulation supervisor.
Is the Site Emergency Coordinator (training, evacuation planning, emergency response)
Responsible for Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and compliance.
Participate in the development and improvement of the Company?s EHS programs.
Responsible, with the local facility team, for maintaining and auditing Process Safety Management (PSM).
Responsible for implementing and maintaining air permitting requirements.
Responsible for local compliance requirements (fire code, building code, etc.)
Manage official governmental inspections (with support from Corporate EHS)
Works closely with facility management to quickly identify and address potential problems.
Responsible for leading cross-functional teams and work groups as required

 Required Skills

Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Occupational Safety, EHS management, or a related field is required.
Experience implementing EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations is required.
Knowledge, training or experience in Process Safety Management
Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable.
Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.
Occasional travel is required
