ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, is seeking an experienced professional to assist in the management of their Safety, Health and Environmental programs.  This position participates in the development and implementation of plant-level SHE programs to assure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and standards, as well as those of the company.

This position is located in the Los Angeles, CA area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 Assist in the implementation and management of SHE programs and procedures.Coordinate activities and programs throughout the plant to ensure compliance with corporate, as well as federal, state and local regulations and procedures.Implement OSHA compliant programs in such areas as PSM, Emergency Response, Hearing Conservation and Medical oversight programs.Coordinate environmental compliance programs related to solid & hazardous waste management.Develop and implement employee SHE training programsManage all documentation, reporting and permitting activities associated with SHE regulatory compliance.Implement and oversee internal SHE audits.

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

 BS Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.3+ years experience Previous experience with Process Safety Management.
