POSITION PURPOSE


Staff Engineer for software design verification testing for InfiniPath and OpenFabrics software. Provide clear, concise and reproducible problem descriptions in the bug system. Make sure that engineering and management team have a full picture of the quality of each software release on a regular basis, and as part of the release process.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


Install multiple hardware/software configurations, including racking systems, installing boards, setting up switches


Install Linux distributions, configure Linux kernels, and install InfiniPath and OpenFabrics software.


Design implement and run test harnesses tests


Post detailed and informative bugs.


Run MPI, TCP and sockets based applications and verify results for correctness.


Verify bug fixes and test for regressions.


Keep development and management informed of critical software quality issues



 Required Skills

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science


6 years industry related experience with minimum two years experience working as a test engineer with a development team delivering networking products.


Experienced in hardware setup, Linux SW installation and configuration


Experienced writing and running tests, test plans and test harnesses.


Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python.


Successful candidate needs to have the initiative and skills to investigate and document the source of problems
