1. Product development;


2. Trendspotting;


3. Financial analysis and recommendations;


4. Consumer insights;


5. Reporting directly into company President;


6. Oversight of a team of direct reports, including a product developers, designers, etc.;


7. Strategizing and implementation of company turnaround plan.


The right Leader needs:


1. Successful turnaround experience;


2. Proven understanding of product line evaluation, including design recommendations;


3. "Cradle to grave";


4. Proven sourcing and trendspotting to bring to evaluation of product present and future;


5. Proven ability to evaluate data, especially financial data, in order to recommend, incorporate into, and implement company turnaround and marketing plans;


6. Luxury background (fashion, home decor, cosmetics, premium products, something with style);


7. Dedicated, independent, work-ethic attitude to get down to it with good people and products.


Any independent contractor would eventually have to turn permanent-employee in this role.
