 Description

Provide technical support and training to field crews throughout the world in assistance of I/O products. System installations, start ups, commissioning and field trip requests. Suppport in-house repairs, system check out and contribute with problem resolution to daily technical requests.


System commissioning: Installation of specific application software. Configure to customer requirements.


System installations: Install field electronic recording equipment to customer specification.


System start-ups: Confirm and sign-off on electronic system function to customer satisfaction.


Support in-house repairs, system check-out, and contribute with problem resolutions to daily technical requests: Troubleshoot, analyze and report on hardware problems and defects as well as on software performance. Elevate major issues to appropriate engineering personnel.


Ability to travel extensively required.

 Required Skills

Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing in English.
Proficient in the operation and application of electronic test equipment.
Proficient in the operation and application of mechanical tools.
Required to work in a self-supervisory capacity and independently solve technical problems.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to keep customer calm while solving problems.
Ability to work well with others in the company to solve customer problems.
Basic knowledge of I/O products a plus.

 Required Experience

Geoscience or Enginerring Degree
BSEE or Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years related experience in either seismic data acquisition or oil field service field support.
