Field Service Technician-BOO-Salem, NJ

CITY: Salem STATE: Unspecified State COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
*The Field Service Technician-BOO (Build-Own-Operate) performs the field operation of customer water demineralization, deoxygenation, reverse osmosis, and other customized water purification applications for customers.
*Acts as technical consultant and liaison with customer management and technical counterparts.
*Operation of customized water treatment equipment.
*Perform water analysis.
*Troubleshoot and repair pumps, instruments, and control panels.
*Maintain log sheets.
*Serves as Customer Service/Customer Liaison.
*Coordinate functions with Regional Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*High School diploma or equivalent such as G.E.D.
*Three years experience in demineralization, deoxygenation, reverse osmosis, and/or other customized water purification application;
or three years well rounded electrical/mechanical experience;
OR
*Two years experience demineralization, deoxygenation, reverse osmosis, and/or other customized water purification applications;
or two years electrical/mechanical experience, AND vocational training/college coursework in electrical/mechanical and/or water treatment.

Eligibility Requirements:

*Ability and willingness to fulfill client base needs as an on call basis.
*Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
*You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
*You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
*You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
*You must reside in the local area of this employment opportunity.
*If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.

Desired:
*Associates degree electrical/mechanical and/or water treatment disciplines.
*Allen Bradley and/or GE Fanuc PLC.
*Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
