Financial Representative - PPO Sinai

Performs key billing functions to support professional billing revenue cycle process, in accordance with established Hospital and Departmental policy and procedure. Performs other clerical functions to support Hospital and Departmental requirements. May assign, oversee and monitor work of other employees. Works proactively and in partnership with other staff and physicians contributing to effective operations. Delivers service in conjunction with Hospital's customer service standards and expectations. Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field; Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology through formal training/previous experience. Two years professional or hospital billing experience including CPT/ICD-9 coding. One to three (1-3) years of experience. Communicate effectively with third party payors; Excellent customer service/IPR skills; Excellent organizational skills; knowledge of third party payor requirements; Medical terminology; Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to maneuver in the Internet; Synquest; IDX; Standard Office Equipment.
