Flood Technician

Flood Technician Description: Growing Meridian Disaster Clean Up company is currently looking to fill 2 flood technician openings. This is a direct placement opportunity! No experience required. Flood technicians set up water extraction equipment, monitor equipment (will train) and do demolition work. Candidates will enter residences (crawl spaces,etc) to extract water (could be clear water or sewage). Candidates will also drive from worksite to worksite. Candidates must be able to work independently and have proven track record of trustworthiness and responsibility in previous positions. This position could work into a lead position (pay is $16-18 for lead). Candidate must be willing to do 'dirty work' and also have a professional attitude to communicate with customers and document jobs. Must have above average communication skills for documentation purposes. Candidate will work 7:30-5:30 (depends on workload) M-F and will be on call 24 hours per day for one week during the month. Typically, this position is 40 + hours per week. This will decrease as more candidates are hired. Candidates receive double time for biohazard clean up and a bonus for working after 5:00PM or on weekends. Medical, Holiday and Vacation pay after one year. This is a growing company with opportunity for advancement into management down the road.

Requirements:
Candidate must have a good work history - minimum of 2-3 years in previous positions. Candidate must have proven record of responsibility and ability to work independently. Prefer background in construction, plumbing, electrical or similar. Willing to be on call one week out of the month. Above average communication and customer service skills. Ability to pass background and driving record screen. Willing to work overtime. No computer skills required. Ideal candidate will be motivated to move into lead position and will be trustworthy, have a positive attitude, be a team player, responsible, possess leadership skills, accountability, detail oriented and trainable.
