Hardware Configuration Manager (43439)

Description

Define, direct and coordinate configuration management activities on selected programs. Take a leadership role for configuration management issues on program teams, directly supporting program managers and the Product Release Manager.

?Work with Program Managers in developing family tree and product structures.
?Responsible for the release of all end item configurations on programs.
?Ensure all Bill of Materials (BOMS) are accurate and within departmental guidelines.
?Work with Program Manager to ensure business plans contain all detailed configuration information.
?Work with Program Management to develop and track target costs.
?Work with Program Managers to develop product documents, qualification requirements, Regulatory requirements and program schedules.
?Responsible to Program Manager to ensure costing and all material releases are scheduled and completed in accordance with all trigger dates.
?Responsible for the accuracy of Bills of Material and that the Item Maters meet the requirements of all Agile department user procedures.
?Responsible for ensuring that engineering change requests conform to BOM documentation practices and procedures.
?Responsible for developing and implementing process improvements in the documentation release process.
?Responsible for measuring the activity of the group, and ensuring that the customers? needs are met.
?Must have a working knowledge of Documentation Change Control and manufacturing processes.

 Required Skills

Strong PC skills required MS Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases. Strong knowledge of MRP II (SAP) and PDM (Agile) packages.
?Good oral and written communication skills.
?Ability to effectively interface with associates in engineering and program management

 Required Experience

?Bachelor?s degree in an engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Masters Degree a plus. Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience working in a Design, Engineering, or Manufacturing environment, working with computer BOM's, Item Master maintenance and Product Structuring.
