Health and Welfare Analyst

Agfa Corporation(Agfa) develops, produces and distributes an extensive range of analog and digital imaging systems and IT solutions, mainly for the printing industry and the healthcare sector, as well as for specific industrial applications.  This position supports Agfa's Graphic Systems business group.  As the worldwide market leader in pre-press solutions for the printing and publishing industry.  Agfa Graphics provides commercial, newspaper and packaging printers with the most extensive integrated solutions for both computer-to-film and computer-to-plate systems, including equipment, consumables (graphic films and printing plates) and software. Agfa also supplies digital proofing systems, large format printing and the professional software that controls the entire prepress process. In addition, Agfa offers digital inkjet printing presses for industrial applications.

 

We are seeking a professional Health and Welfare Analyst.  The position is responsible for overall administration, communication, and regulatory compliance of health and welfare programs sponsored by Agfa Corporation and participating employers.  Administers health and welfare programs including medical (PPO plans and HMO's), dental, disability, life insurance, medical and dependent spending accounts, retiree medical accounts and COBRA in conjunction with contracted vendors and regulatory authorities for 2,000 employees and 1,000 retirees.

 

The ideal candidate will possess seven to ten years of benefit administration and regulatory compliance expertise and a BS in Human Resources, Business Management or Finance.  CEBS or CBP desired. MBA or equivalent a plus.  Thorough knowledge of health and welfare benefits plan terminology and concepts.  Extensive knowledge of benefits legislation required.  A good working knowledge of HRIS, PC and mainframe systems is a must. Experience in using and administering software and mainframe systems. Must work independently, take initiative, and make solid judgments. Must coordinate activities with other members of employee benefit team.  Must also be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
