IMMEDIATE WORK: Temp On-Site Proofreader Position - RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA - No Off-Site or Telecommu

Canyouproofthis.com is looking for experienced PROOFREADERS for a temporary position in RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, on a freelance-contractor basis. Successful candidates MUST have a very firm knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style 15th Ed. Applicants need to be open to commuting to Riverside or having accommodation provided to them by the client in Riverside. Telecommuting is NOT an option. The hours are flexible; anything between two days per week and full time is OK. Assignment will last a few weeks, starting as soon as possible.

We require our contractors to meet the following criteria:

Skills: Beyond all the obvious skills and reference materials that a proofreader should possess, we need you to have at least three years of documented experience as a proofreader/copy editor.

Proofreading Test: Before being given any type of assignment by Canyouproofthis.com, an applicant must complete a proofreading test. The test will be sent to the applicant via e-mail as a Word attachment, and the
applicant has 24 hours to complete and return it. (The test shouldn't take more than one or two hours to complete.) Please let us know how soon you can take the proofreading test.

Signed Agreements: We require all freelancers to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (wherein you promise to keep all client information strictly confidential) and a Non-Competition Agreement (wherein you promise not to
accept any work from clients you previously worked for through Canyouproofthis.com).
