INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

 Derbyshire's Unpainted Furniture in Wayne is a 57 year old, family-owned retail store with a strong history in high quality, solid wood furniture. They sell unfinished furniture from over 30 different manufacturers, so some custom work and provide custom finishing services as well.  The work environment is friendly and cooperative; fast-paced yet somewhat relaxed.  Employees are expected to work hard but have fun at the same time.  There is a strong sense of teamwork with lots of support from management and staff. 

 They are in need of a full time person for various duties at our showroom and warehouse locations including furniture assembly & light repairs, furniture finishing (staining & painting), inventory control, quality control, delivery, shipping & receiving, building maintenance, customer service and occasional work with customers at retail showroom.



 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Must be able to supervise staff and delegate jobs

Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize

Customer service skills for direct interaction w/ customers

Good written and verbal communication skills (English speaking)

Physical strength to lift and move furniture

Growth minded team player

Neat, clean appearance

Some computer experience

Valid driver's license w/ clean driving record

Minimum high school diploma or GED

Furniture staining/painting/finishing experience a plus

Experience w/ assembly & repair of wood furniture or equivalent 

3-5 yr. related experience

Must be comfortable for short period of times in all temperatures and weather.
