Description

IT scope includes desktop and laptop computers, office applications, data and voice infrastructure in Symbol offices.
The successful individual will have the following responsibilities and skill sets:

Key Objectives/Accountabilities: in support
Responsible for all IT service delivery and management functions of the Symbol office location(s), inclusive of IT Asset Management.
Act as the primary liaison between the global IT team and the local Business Units (e.g. Sales, Customer Services and Procurement).
Manage IT outsourcing for service deliveries to meet contractual agreements.
Manage all vendor functions inclusive of procurement, delivery and support of IT products and services
Meet and exceed all IT operational performance metrics.
Proactively enforce and review compliance policies and procedures.
Proactive in all improvement IT service deliveries and process streamline, and cost management.
Coordinate and work with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Help Desk to insure that IT support services would the needs of meet local site requirements.
Provide technical design and support of locally focused desktop and server based systems and applications, and leverage global IT resources as necessary.
Coordinate and work closely with corporate IT in our global IT organization.

Education and Experience:
Minimum a BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Relevant 8-10 years in IT operations and desk-side services, data and voice infrastructures and networks.
Managerial experiences in a Multi-National Corporate environment and worked with professionals from many other countries, in North America, APAC and EMEA.
A team-player and able to lead in project management and assignment.
Hands-on working knowledge and expertise in current IT technologies and products.
Expertise in Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server 2003, Active Directory and Exchange, and server-build, MCSE preferred. Experience with Windows XP and Outlook, Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
Integral member of global IT team; proactive participation in the development and enforcement of company IT Standards, Policies and Procedures while ensuring consistency in communications with Client engagement.
Able to work independently and proactively for high performance, and self-driven for good results.
Good communicator with fluent spoken and good written English, other languages a plus.

ISA, Citrix, RightFax, OWA, SQL, MS Clustering, MOM, ADAM, NetIQ, Scripting, HTML, VPN, Linux. Hardware: Dell, IBM, Compaq/HP.
