In-house Applications Scientist – Proteomics Scientist with a Personality!!!-Boston, MA

They are a leading provider of scientific instruments, consumables and services to the pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental testing and general industrial markets.

 

Position Description:

 

? Act as the primary, in-house Reagent Application Scientist for our proteomics product lines

? Provide customers, front line tech support and sales with problem solving, diagnostic and troubleshooting support and product problem resolution

? Support includes phone, e-mail, on-site and wet lab problem solving situations

? Accountability for intellectual property, manage web content, support new product introductions, provide product training for internal and external customers, provide feedback to the business on market and customer trends, raise quality issues, input support and sustaining engineering requests for product continuous improvement, and act as a resource for marketing and product management

? Ability to travel 5% is required. 

 

Qualifications:

 

? BS or higher in the life sciences; Master?s or Ph.D. preferred

? Strong varied, technical background in proteomics is a must.  (protein isolation, purification, analysis, HPLC, LC-MS, peptide mass fingerprinting, spotters and pickers etc?)

? Must be able to bring cross functional teams together for successful product problem resolution

? Experience dealing with end users is preferred, but not required

? Exceptional verbal and written skills are an absolute must!

 

 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation will be commensurate with the experience, but should be expected to fall within $65,000-85,000.00
