The Westfield Group (ASX Code: WDC) is an internally managed, vertically integrated, shopping center group undertaking ownership, development, design, construction, funds/asset management, property management, leasing and marketing activities. Westfield has more than 43 years of experience in the shopping center business and employs in excess of 4,000 staff worldwide.
The Job Captain is a direct report to the Project Architect and Director of Production. A Job Captain has a minimum of three years of experience in retail production and is someone who can work with minimal supervision by the Project Architect. The Job Captain is directly responsible for the execution of the construction documents for the entire production team. The Job Captain coordinates the documents with all consultant design. The Job Captain provides bi-monthly reviews of drawings and distributes mark-up sets to the entire team. The Job Captain will provide the Project Architect regular updates on the status of drawings. The Job Captain is responsible for regular updates to checklists and work matrix in the Design Procedures Manual. The Job Captain also assists the PA in keeping track of milestone dates for required submittals and organizing coordination meetings with consultants. The Job Captain should be proficient in engineering standards, architectural/construction detailing, and CAD programs.
